Of all the things I’ve done during this pandemic, I am most personally proud of working to help get Garden Cafe back open. One of the things that most makes our neighborhood the special place it is, is the ability to simply walk over to one of the finest restaurants in the city.
Mark Wootten has overseen an amazing reimaging of the space, and we were invited to a “soft opening” last night. It was amazing. The interior is redone, and the dinner menu is world class…and he’s hired an amazing staff, many of whom live right here in our little Hood.
While it was closed during the pandemic, it was like a piece of my own home was gone.
Welcome back, Mark, Dale…and all our friends at Garden Cafe.
